How authenticity trumps classical training, and how to eat a banana.

Merry Christmas friends! I didn’t get you a gift, but here are two creative sparks to elevate your holiday season.
Stephen Wilson Jr.
Sometimes the “wrong” way is better. Take a listen to the song below by Stephen Wilson Jr. and HARDY. You’ll notice pretty quickly that Wilson doesn’t sing like anyone else. His tone is a bit nasally, and he barely opens his mouth, but when you hear him, I doubt you’d want him to sing any other way.
Takeaway: Sometimes authenticity trumps classical training.
This is bananas
I used to think I knew how to eat bananas, that is until someone told me to flip it over and treat the “bottom” as the “top.” It turns out it’s actually much easier to peel a banana from the non-stem side. This small adjustment made me realize how often we stick to our assumptions without questioning them—and how much better things can be when we do.
Takeaway: Don’t believe everything you think. When you challenge assumptions—you may discover a better way.
See you on Friday
Have a great Christmas and Hanukkah all. See you in your inbox again on Friday.
